Cunning Little Vixen

Combining Irish culture and craft with traditional Czech opera was the focus of this project. Using Janàček’s Cunning Little Vixen as a base, I explored themes of identity and home whilst mixing old crafts like Willow-weaving with digital embroidery to create the characters. I spent a lot of time dressing small details like the embroidery designs and fabric choices. The final costume is made and set to be photographed next year.
